A 5-week program that combines Korean Studies Seminars taught in English (by Korean and international faculty) and intensive Korean language instruction. International students will take classes together with Korean students, so that the students can also learn from each other. Each Friday, both international and Korean students will go on a field trip to fascinating places such as the National Museum of Korea, Changdeok Palace, Hwaseong Fortress, KOFIC Namyangju Studios and the DMZ. Each Korean Studies Seminar is an interdisciplinary 3-credit unit taught by two professors. As part of each unit, students will write an essay about one of the field trips. The best of these essays will be presented at the farewell dinner on the last day of the program. Aside from the Friday field trips, international students will be able to experience more of Korea (including Korean youth culture) by spending time with Sogang University students through our buddy program.
